They wanted a few quiet winks to their hockey roots: custom hockey puck favors, table “numbers” inspired by their jersey numbers, and small hockey sticks woven into the boutonnieres. The best part? Caitlyn’s mom had no idea. Watching her face light up as she noticed these touches throughout the day was priceless.

Design That Dazzled (and Surprised)

Danielle and Caitlyn’s moms were deeply involved in the planning process, and like many parents, they found it hard to visualize how all the pieces would come together — even after table mockups and design boards.

So when the doors finally opened and they saw the finished space — a stunning mix of purple and white linens, soft candlelight, and iridescent chargers that reflected subtle rainbow tones — they were completely speechless.

It’s one of my favorite memories: seeing people experience that “wow” moment when the design comes to life exactly as imagined… or better.

A Princess Moment and a Party to Remember

From the moment Danielle stepped into her gown, something shifted. Watching her step into her “bride era” — confident, radiant, and beaming — was such a joy. She truly looked like a modern princess, and that smile never left her face all day.

And because this was Vegas, there were a few unforgettable twists. Midway through the reception, an “Elvis crew” — a hilarious group of friends and family in full Elvis attire — burst in, turning the ballroom into a joyful celebration of everything this city represents.

Later in the evening, guests found themselves laughing at a custom bar sign featuring the couple’s beloved dog, Rya, watching over the festivities with her signature grin.

The Sweetest Ending: Late Night Vegas

Every great Vegas story ends with something a little unexpected. For Danielle and Caitlyn, that moment came after the last song, when I surprised them with a late-night In-N-Out run — a must-stop spot every time they visit from D.C.

We’d schemed with Caitlyn’s mom to make sure the order was perfect — down to her “cripsy fries.” And even though they were completely “photo’d out,” they had to document this one. The look on their faces when they saw the iconic bag was pure, unfiltered joy.

It was the perfect ending to a day that was as heartfelt as it was unforgettable.
