Southern Utah Wedding Venue Guide

People come from all over the world to get married near Zion National Park and we have some truly incredible venues for you to consider. I've put together a list of a few of our absolute favorites and all the reasons we love them!

THE LEDGES

Things we love:

- Their staff. As of 2022, you're probably working with Lydia and she is a gem. She and her staff go above and beyond to make sure that your dream comes to life and she runs things like she's done this a time or two!

- Their on-site catering + bar. Two birds with one stone handled directly through the venue which makes your job way easier!

- Those VIEWS! This golf course is pristine and they have the most beautiful green backdrop perfect for the ceremony!

Things to Keep in mind:

-

WILD ROSE RANCH:

Things we love:

- The privacy!! This little oasis is tucked back in the country and the peace you feel out here is unreal. This is the perfect place to get married surrounded by your family + friends and literally no one else!

- The owners: have you met them?! They are the sweetest people in the entire world and welcome us into their home super last minute on a Sunday for lunch one day when we were in their neck of the woods. They are a ranch family through and through and you will feel their love during your stay

- The onsite lodging! Destination weddings.... YES! Get married on a beautiful property WITH HORSES and have your family/friends stay right on property? That's a big yes from me!

-They have big plans for this property and I'm sure this hidden gem is going to quickly become popular!

Things to Keep in mind:

- Limited Cell Service

ENTRADA COUNTRY CLUB

Things we love:

- HOLY RED ROCK VIEWS! Southern Utah is known for the beautiful red rock and the landscape at Entrada does not disappoint.

- Location - this property is located on the outskirts of St. George which means better hotel room rates (compared to Springdale, Utah by Zion) or you can opt for lodging at the Inn at Entrada so that your guests are all close!

- Ambiance. This property has the gorgeous views, decent privacy, a gorgeous staircase, bistro lighting and a trickling waterfall built into the rocks... combine this with live music or a DJ and you're all set!

Things to Keep in mind:

- Weather - luckily this property has an indoor option but something to keep in mind if you're planning on planning everything outside!

SHANGRI-LA EVENT CENTER

Things we love:

- Build in dance floor! The deck makes a great place for the party and you have built in lighting which is great!

- The Gazebo + The Island Tree.... two great locations for the ceremony with benches available for your use.

- Blank Canvas - There are so many ways you can set up this property and the views are amazing no matter where you go. There is a peace here that is perfect for a wedding and you'll have the property to yourself!

Things to Keep in mind:

- There is a small prep kitchen for your catering team

- There are a couple of 'rooms' that can be used for 'getting ready!!"

- Weather!! There is no indoor option at this venue so you do have to have a plan B in case of weather!

HOLMSTEAD RANCH RESORT

Things we love:

- On-site Lodging... this place is amazing for destination weddings because you have your own oasis with cabins, wagons, glamping units etc. All of your family + friends can stay right on property so that you can make it a weekend affair!

- Activities: paddle boarding, pickle ball, paintball, farm, and more... there are plenty of activities for you to do while you're on-site and you could make a tournament of it!

- The gazebo. The outdoor views are incredible and these guys have done an incredible job with upkeep and it feels like a resort! That means there are a lot of areas that you can do the wedding BUT you also have an indoor area in case of rain or extreme heat/cold! Always great to have a backup plan!

Things to Keep in mind:

- Proximity to Zion 1.5 hours -- you can still get those epic Zion shots pre/post wedding! We recommend booking a bridal session with your photographer so that you can go into the park (or any other location in southern Utah for additional photos!)

SAND HOLLOW RESORT

Things we love:

- THAT RED ROCK. Again with the gorgeous red rock views..... Enough said!

- Overlook Patio. Gorgeous views + lighting makes for the perfect dance floor (and bridal grand entrance!)

- Onsite Catering - these guys are amazing at what they do and can cater to just about any idea that you have. Kelly and Dani (pictured) added late night snacks for their wedding and it all came out flawlessly.

Things to Keep in mind:

- All food/beverage does need to go through their on-site catering (including alcohol!)

UNDER CANVAS - ZION

Things we love

- The cutest glamping units ever!! This made the best "getting ready" area for our sunrise elopement but don't forget that there is no power so you'll need a generator or plan B if you plan to use any tools for your hair!

- Zion Views - this property is located on the west side of Zion and you just can't beat those epic views. Your photos will be amazing whether you choose a sunrise or sunset elopement!

- Helicopter pad! This is a great spot to set up a wedding dinner/reception if you've invited a few guests! You have to bring in all of the set-up, catering, etc. but it's unique and perfect for an intimate destination wedding!

Things to Keep in mind:

- No power

- Limited Cell Service

THE SPRINGS EVENT CENTER

Things we love

- The INDOOR/OUTDOOR OPTIONS! You have a built in backup plan which is great and this is one of our favorite properties if you are local or booking airbnbs in St. George/Hurricane.

- Beautiful property.... lots of photo ops at this gorgeous venue and it's laid out perfectly. We typically see the ceremony and reception on the lawn with dinner inside (especially during high heat!). You're also just a quick 30 minutes to Zion or St. George so you can run to the park for photos and it's just a quick drive for any guests staying in St. George!

- BYOV (Bring your own vendors)! Food truck...here we come! This property does not have on-site catering which means you can bring in your own licensed caterer which sometimes helps with costs + budget! Win win!

Things to Keep in mind:

- There is an airbnb on property that I highly recommend renting so that A. your bridesmaids can get ready there and B. you and your lover have a place to stay that night!

WRIGHT FAMILY RANCH

Things we love

- The views! Again, this is the backside of Zion and you've got some really great views without having to be in the park and pay for permits!

- This is a family owned property and very 'blm land' feeling so it's adventurous and beautiful for a more 'off the beaten path' vibe!

- No crowds!! We saw maybe 3 other vehicles across the giant property so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Same epic views, one-of-a-kind elopement, and no crowds. Pretty much a dream come true!

Things to Keep in mind:

- No power

- No bathrooms (this is something you'll need to rent!)

- Limited Cell Service and I mean LIMITED! There are not great 'directions' once you are on property so you'll need to mark the path for guests to find the exact wedding location!

- Dirt roads. These can be impassable after a storm so you definitely need a backup plan in the rare instance that we get rain!

ZION RED ROCK OASIS

Things we love

- On-site lodging! This property sleeps 50+ people which means all of your closest family and friends can stay with you and party for 3 whole days!!

- There are a ton of options for layout. Gorgeous views everywhere you turn so you can make it YOURS. From the 'beach' area, to the Labryinth, to the lawn (front and back), you've definitely got options!

- Proximity to Zion - just a quick 15 minutes to Springdale and you're basically inside the park. This makes it super convenient to do a group hike the day before or after your wedding. You've come this far for a reason... make sure to make time for this beautiful National Park right at your doorstep!

Things to keep in mind:

- Weather! There aren't great 'backup options' in case of wind/rain so be prepared to reserve a tent (especially during our summer monsoon season!)

- There are multi-night minimums for this property so it's a great option for destination weddings if you plan on staying for a few days anyways!

- Noise ordinance - quiet time is 10pm and this is strictly enforced. Good thing you can take the after party inside!!

ZION RED ROCK VILLA

Things we love

- The "Italian Villa" Feel... I just can't say enough about this property. I LOVE the house, the fountain (Friends vibe, anyone?!), the topiary garden, the front patio with the bistro lights... it's all so beautiful and makes the wedding photos so stunning!

- On-site lodging! This property sleeps 50+ people which means all of your closest family and friends can stay with you and party for 3 whole days!!

- The master bedroom AKA Bridal Suite.... trust me, you have never seen a more beautiful bridal room and it's plenty big enough for all your bridesmaid to get ready and get gorgeous photos!
